Hey there 👋
In 2024 I moved across the country to pursue a PhD in media psychology. Along the way I rediscovered my passion for photography.
The journey began in the late 2000s. In my high school's darkroom. There I learned to develop and print black & white film from my dad's Canon AE-1.
Some years later I entered the digital realm with a Nikon D3500 I found in excellent condition on Craigslist. I still use that entry-level workhorse today, and it has captured many of the images you see here today!
I recently acquired my first mirrorless camera, a Fujifilm XT-4. I'm not sure I understand all the hype around Fuji's "film simulations," but I'm giving it a shot (get it?). Call me old fashioned, but I do miss the optical viewfinder and the mechanics of the mirror. So I'm holding onto the DSLR.
For me, photography is mindfulness. Translating the images I see in my head to share my perspective with the world is equally challenging and gratifying.
Thanks for stopping by and looking around. I'm here if you have any questions 😊
